COVID 19 | THIRD STIMULUS: JobKeeper Payments

Under the JobKeeper payment, businesses impacted by the Coronavirus will be able to access a subsidy from the Government to continue paying their employees. Affected employers will be able to claim fortnightly payments of $1,500 per eligible employee from 30 March 2020, for a maximum period of 6 months. This will assist businesses with employees and businesses without employees, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria. This payment will come via the ATO and paid to businesses that have experienced more than a 30% reduction in their turnover (for business with less than $1bn turnover).

Step 1: Register your interest. The registration date is key as this is the date payment will be dated from.
